Jerry Lewis sang his signature closing song, “You’ll Never Walk Alone,” as the final tote board showed $60.5 million for the 44th annual Telethon for the Muscular Dystrophy Association last Labor Day Weekend. Lewis thanked the American people for their generosity, saying that even though the total was down from the previous year’s record $65 million, it was an amazing accomplishment considering the state of the nation’s economy.

The week leading up to the Labor Day weekend holiday be sure to watch Louisville LIVE This Morning on WBKI, The CW. Every morning at 10 a.m., Host’s Craig Hoffman and Julie Smith will talk Cats and Cards, and get fans ready for the start of the college football season for both schools. The University of Kentucky travels to U-of-L for the Saturday game. Special guests include Lachlan Mclean from 84 WHAS and Tony Vanetti from the Afternoon Underdogs on Sports Talk 790. Fans will be allowed to call in and make their predictions on the big game. And WBKI’s Paul Najjar will weigh in on the huge rivalry, and give you the ups and the downs, for both teams.
